Día 1: Sábado 05 Diciembre 2009

Como teníamos que salir a comprar los materiales que nos faltaban para este proyecto, el primer día solo nos propusimos a recoger los muebles para hacer espacio para el proyecto de pintura del techo, que empazaremos mañana.

Since we have to go out and buy the missing materials for this project, the first day we just starting setting the furnitures to make room for the ceiling painting, which will be start tomorrow.

También empezamos removiendo los rodapiés (zócalos) para el proyecto del piso:

We also started removing the floor skirting for the floor project:

Vean la diferencia donde estaba la base del TV, aunque se aspiren todo los días, definitivamente estas alfombras son unas recolectoras de mugre:

Con la ayuda del mejor ayudante que encontramos, el proyecto de pintura del techo quedó listo ese mismo día:

También nos dió tiempo a remover toda la alfromba para el proyecto del piso. Ya la casa luce todo un desastre, no les parece?

We also had time to remove all the carpet for the floor project. Now the house looks a mess, do not you think?

Y seguimos removiendo los rodapiés (zócalos) esta vez de la cocina.

Hoy comencé la pintura de las paredes...

Como el proyecto de pintura va bien (solo faltan retoques)...

...mejor comenzamos con el proyecto de instalación de la cerámica de la cocina. El sistema de cerámicas Avaire que decidimos instalar definitivamente fue una muy buena decisión ya que como podrán notar es un sistema donde las cerámicas se ensamblan como un rompe-cabezas sin necesidad de aplicar pego (pasta/pega) lo cual hace posible trabajar el sistema en una forma limpia.

Dameliz decidió que yo no tenía la paciencia necesaria para aplicar el acabado como ella quería hacerlo: cerámica por cerámica y además que no quedara ninguna hendija entre las cerámicas, así que para evitarnos un divorcio, que hubiese salido más caro que este proyecto, decidimos “democráticamente” quien iba a continuar este proceso:

Como el día anterior todo el piso de la cocina quedó totalmente instalado, ahora nos toca el baño de visitas.

Si estas pensando como hago los cortes, es con una máquina para cortar cerámicas. Con un poco de imaginación se pueden sacar hasta los cortes redondos como el del drenaje de la poceta (retrete).

Se nos presentó un problema con la transición entre la cocina y el comedor ya que hay un desnivel de 1/4” que debemos resolver para poder instalar el piso de la sala-comedor. Lo peor del asunto es que la casa sigue estando patas arriba y ya los niños quisieran tener su casa de vuelta...

Nuestros magnificos ayudantes se tomaron un descanso para jugar en la nieve. Estos días cayeron aproximadamente 25” (63.5 centímetros)

Hoy comenzamos el proyecto de instalación del piso de la sala-comedor, que aunque tiene más área que el de la cocina y el baño de visita, nos debería tomar menos tiempo para terminarlo:
